" Yoga is about uniting with the depth of our Being and discovering that deep within, our true nature is joy. All the stress and negativity is only on the surface---with a little awareness and practice, we can uncover the fountain of bliss inside us. When we are in touch with our inner Self, there is harmony at all the levels of our existence. Peace and happiness come effortlessly."

The Joy of Yoga from
the Comfort of Your Home
Chair Yoga
Chair Yoga is a wonderful way to get the same benefits as floor yoga. It helps to alleviate stress and fatigue, as well as helping with the lubrication of your joints, your balance, and core strength. This practice can help to stretch and strengthen the areas which may have limited range of motion.

Gentle Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga is practiced at a slower pace, where we focus on the breath, using controlled movement, and stretching targeted muscles. This class will be taught with the understanding of the link between the
(Fibromyalgia) pressure points and body discomfort. This class is perfect for beginning Yoga practitioners. We will spend time going over the poses and why they are beneficial to specific targeted areas in which tightness and sensitivity can occur.
Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is a slower paced practice where we work on the deeper "Yin" tissues and fascia that surrounds our joints, ligaments, and bones. The mostly seated and supine poses are held for longer durations, which become a place of stillness for you. You will learn the basics of most of the 18 Yin poses, and how to incorporate breathwork into your movements.
About Polly
I began practicing Yoga in 2010 and loved the way it helped me feel. I practiced mostly Anusara and Vinyasa Yoga for a few years until I noticed that I had some aches that began surfacing. They were not the normal muscle soreness aches after a strenuous practice, they were deeper and didn't stay away for too long. I took a break from Yoga for a bit to see if that would make me feel relief. It didn't, so I resumed my practice but this time I added some Yin and Restorative classes to my Yoga repertoire, hoping that these styles would alleviate any aches. I modified my poses, went to multiple Dr.'s, physical therapy, acupuncture, etc. but whatever I did or didn't do, nothing was helping the deep aches go away. Fast Forward to 2022, I finally went to a Dr. (Rheumatologist) who understood what I was going through, he asked me multiple health questions, and then pressed on the determining 18 pressure points of Fibromyalgia, they were all extremely tender! I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I made it to the elevator, and when the doors closed, I burst into tears. Not because of the diagnosis, but because I felt like I finally had some validation. I could begin to take my yoga practice on a different path and teach yoga with a definitive goal, to help and understand others that may have musculoskeletal issues like I do.
I began my Yoga trainings in children's Yoga, and started Blooming Kids Yoga with Polly, LLC. I had a blast teaching fun Yoga activities to preschool through 5th graders. After a few years I did have to stop teaching kids' Yoga, my body could just not keep up with them anymore.
I began my formal Yoga training and received my 200 hr. in 2019, and my 300 hr. in 2021. My goal is to bring the joy of Yoga as a tool for the body and mind to others.
On the personal side, I taught elementary education for 33 years in Miami-Dade County, and retired from teaching in 2017.
I have 2 beautiful daughters, and an amazing grandson who already knows many yoga poses at 2 1/2.
